Here's some verses I found which seemingly answer some questions, but I suppose one can say it's all up to interpretation - which is the farthest thing I aim to do. Never would I strive to do that.

Matthew 6:7 - "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words."

Matthew 23:9 - "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven."

1 Timothy 2:5 - "For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

Luke 11:27-28 - "While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You and the breasts at which You nursed." But He said, "On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it."'

Exodus 20:4 - "You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth."

Mark 16:16 - "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned."
Acts 8:36-37 - "As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?" And Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may."

Mark 7:7-9 - "‘But in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’ "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men." He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition."'
